Music and more with Adam Nutter

Every City has has a cast of characters that are pivotal to its music scene. People that seem to become a central point of contact for most bands and culture in general. This week on the podcast Adam and Pete chat with Jack Simpson, Co founder of Eiger studios in Leeds and Hyde Park book club. Jack has a wealth of experience from being in bands to promoting them, right through to running Leeds best rehearsal and recording studios and running trendy spots in the heart of Leeds. Enjoy

In addition to being hilarious and thoroughly entertaining, Deg was able to share an interesting perspective of watching young Adam rise from an insubordinate employee to a world-traveling rock star. On this episode of Music and More Adam and Pete welcome The Music historian and pied piper, Robert Hirst. With the new date for Temple Newsam now just less than a year away, Adam and Pete talk touring and reflect on the band getting together last week to watch the camcorder footage from recording the first album and trips to Japan.

Richard McNamara is a musician, singer-songwriter, and producer, best known as the guitarist and co-lead vocalist for the band Embrace. If you’re a Leeds United fan chances are you’ve already heard of Skylights. Their song YRA (Yorkshire Republican Army) is a shoutout to the team and is even featured in official club videos. But even if you’re not a football fan Skylights is definitely worth a listen. They’ve been modestly releasing EPs over the years, like What you are, Enemies, and Darkness Falls. This week on Music and more, Adam and Pete welcome Skylights guitarist Turnbull Smith to discuss their experience as a local band that is catching the eyes and ears of many.
